The Trinity community is greatly saddened to hear of the passing of Rudi van Breda (2011) and his parents, victims of a home invasion attack in South Africa on 27 January.
Rudi came to the College from Western Australia (Scotch College) to read Science at the University of Melbourne. He was on the Dean’s Honours list for Science in 2011, graduated in 2013, and was currently completing his Masters in Engineering.
As well as being intellectually able, Rudi was a keen sportsman, distinguished for his rowing, amongst other sports.
Good-natured, highly popular amongst his peers, Rudi was a quiet leader who looked out for younger College members and was always willing to lend a hand.
He will be greatly missed by all of us in the Trinity community.
