Trinity College was deeply saddened to hear of the passing of one of our closest friends and most generous benefactors, alumnus and Trinity College Fellow Dr Roger Riordan AM. Roger peacefully passed away on 2 January 2019 at age 84.

Trinity College students Matthew Blair and Charles Baylis ran a community integration program at Trinity College on Wednesday 12 September, where students from Trinity’s Foundation Studies program got the chance to learn the game of Australian rules football from residential students.

Trinity College is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms Leonie Jongenelis as the next dean of the Residential College. Leonie joins us from St Hilda’s Anglican School for Girls in Perth, where she is currently the dean of residential life.

Trinity College's advancement director, Scott Charles, will be taking on the role of deputy warden next year upon the retirement of current deputy warden, Campbell Bairstow. Scott has played an important leadership role at the college in the advancement space for the past five years, and will now add the deputy role to his portfolio.

The women’s footy team has claimed victory in the grand finals, impressively going "back to back to back", crushing Ormond 36-0. Unfortunately, the men’s team came up just short, narrowly losing by 7 points in a closely fought grand final. The Trinity Choir has just returned from its tour to Europe, the first international tour the Choir has undertaken for six years. Members spent a week rehearsing in northern Spain and then three weeks in the United Kingdom, singing in London, Windsor, Canterbury, Cambridge, Edinburgh and Oxford.
