Selwyn Cornish is a Visiting Fellow at the ANU’s School of History, College of Arts and Social Sciences, Adjunct Associate Professor of Economics at the University of Canberra and the Reserve Bank of Australia’s Official Historian. He is the author of The Evolution of Central Banking in Australia (Reserve Bank of Australia, 2010), and co-author of Giblin’s Platoon. The Trials and Triumph of the Economist in Australian Public life (ANU Press, 2006), and Arndt’s Story. The Life of an Australian Economist (Asia Pacific Press, ANU, 2007). In 2006 he was made a Member of the Order of Australia for his Contributions to Education in the Australian Capital Territory.
