Trinity Gives Thanks to Founders & Benefactors

On Friday 6 October, over 150 guests attended the Commemoration of Founders & Benefactors. The evening was an opportunity to give thanks to Founders and Benefactors who have supported Trinity College for over 145 years.

The evening highlighted the impact supporting a Trinity College scholarship or program has on the lives of students today.

Former Young Leaders Program (YLP) and current residential student, Reegan Quick (TC 2014), spoke passionately about how attending Trinity had changed his life.

‘Whether your support comes in the form of scholarships for students, programs similar to the Gourlay Visiting Professorship or any of the other myriad of ways support has been given to the College, I want to thank you all from the bottom of my heart,' said Reegan.

Angus Trumble (TC 1983), Director of the National Portrait Gallery of Australia, also officially announced the unveiling of Nicholas Harding's portrait of Bill Cowan (TC 1963), currently on display at the National Portrait Gallery in Canberra.
