The Choir of Trinity College attracting rave reviews

The Choir of Trinity College’s recently released second disc ‘Land of Dreams’ is attracting rave reviews from international media.

Land of Dreams features a collection of pieces connected by the common themes of dreaming and sleep, both in the spiritual and secular sense and follows on from the successful release of Beneath the Incense Tree, a disc of music for Advent and Christmas.

The choir recorded the disc in St John the Evangelist Church, Oxford, and Clare Stevens from Choir & Organ magazine in the UK asserts that Christopher Watson’s ‘accomplished young singers respond magnificently to its spacious acoustics and their conductor’s unfussy direction.’ Bestowing the highest accolade of five stars, Stevens ends her review by simply stating, ‘I loved it all’.

Limelight, Australia’s classical music and arts magazine, was equal in their adoration, calling Land of Dreams an ‘impressive disc’ and selecting it as their disc of the month in October.

These positive reviews come ahead of the choir’s upcoming 14-show tour of North America, where they will perform across the US and Canada.

Land of Dreams is available on Spotify, Apple Music and other streaming sites, and physical copies are on sale from the online Trinity shop.
