Anglican Summer School 2014

Excitement is mounting as the first Trinity Summer School in Theology approaches.

The theme of the three-day conference is ‘The Place of Theology in Ministry’. The program has been designed with parish clergy in mind, in the hope that they will find the experience intellectually stimulating and enriching in their ministry.

The keynote speaker will be Professor Stanley Hauerwas,  Gilbert Rowe Professor of Theological Ethics at the Divinity School at Duke University, North Carolina, USA. We are indeed privileged to have someone so outstanding to lead our deliberations. Professor Hauerwas has authored and edited many books and articles, from 1969 to the present, and has been the subject of other theologians' writing and interest for many years. He is considered by many to be one of the world's most influential living theologians, and was named America's Best Theologian by Time in 2001.

Other speakers who will challenge and inspire participants are The Revd Professor Andrew McGowan, The Revd Professor Dorothy Lee, The Revd Dr Ray Cleary, Dr Felicity Harley-McGowan and Professor Peter Sherlock, Vice-Chancellor of The University of Divinity. What a wealth of knowledge and collective wisdom awaits participants.

Registrations will be capped at 90 in order to allow all participants and speakers to share ideas and experience. Bookings will close on 20 January 2014. Details of how to register can be found on the Trinity College website here.
