The Warden of Trinity College warmly invites you to the 2024 Caldwell Lecture, presented by The Honourable Justice Joe Williams, KNZM, followed by dinner at Trinity College. 

In this lecture, Justice Williams will discuss how law, including our conception of law and its purpose, is changing in ways that are providing a firmer foothold for First Nations in the life of post-colonial States. He will situate these developments within the wider context of the contemporary search for a durable post-colonial identity. Justice Williams will consider the parallel journeys of New Zealand and Australia as case studies.

The lecture is co-hosted with the Melbourne Law School.
