Earlier this month, Debbra-Jane Danker (Jane) (TCFS July Main, Malaysia), spoke at a special World Day of Prayer chapel service at Christ Church Grammar School, South Yarra, in the presence of Dr Mohamed Rameez Yahya, Malaysian Consul General to Australia.
The theme of the service was Let Justice Prevail. Jane was invited to speak by the Vicar of Christ Church, South Yarra and former Trinity College Chaplain, Father Richard Treloar.
She spoke to 350 primary school aged students about growing up as a Roman Catholic Christian in the multicultural and multi-religious society of Malaysia.
Jane's simple message was that despite their religious and cultural differences, she and her friends in Malaysia were able to grow up in a spirit of acceptence and understanding.
