Meditations - 23 March 2020
These ‘interesting times’ of great disruption and uncertainty provide no shortage of challenge and angst, and the church is by no means immune. However, even with these ongoing troubles we have a great hope that we can turn and cling to. Drawing upon this hope the faculty of Trinity College Theological School is assembling a series of meditations and reflections, which will be added to each week beginning on 23 March 2020. We pray that these will draw you closer into the hope which we have received.

Inaugural John and Jeanne Stockdale Chair appointed - 14 January 2020
Dr Scott A. Kirkland has been appointed to the John and Jeanne Stockdale Chair (Stockdale Chair) in Practical Theology and Ethics at Trinity College’s Theological School. His appointment to the position of Lecturer in Practical Theology and Ethics is a three-year full-time contract commencing Monday 3 February 2020.

Vale Bishop James Grant AM (TC 1950) - 11 July 2019
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Bishop James Grant AM, an alumnus, former employee and leader, and one of Trinity’s closest friends and ongoing supporters. Bishop Grant was 87 years old.

Congratulations to Kay Goldsworthy AO, the Bill Cowan Alum of the Year 2019​
A record 350 alumni flocked to the College Oak tree on the evening of Friday 22 February 2019 for Trinity’s Drinks Under the Oak, an annual event enjoyed by Residential College alumni for seven decades. A highlight of the evening was the awarding of the Bill Cowan Alum of the Year 2019, an award that recognises an alumnus or alumna who has made an outstanding contribution to Trinity or the greater community during the previous year - and this year’s award went to Kay Goldsworthy AO, who trained in theology as a resident of Trinity from 1980 to 1983. Trinity Welcomes New Theological School Staff
Following the retirement from Trinity of two long-standing members of faculty, the Reverend Dr Cecilia Francis and the Reverend Dr Don Saines, two new staff have been appointed after a national search. The Reverend Dr Fergus King will take up the important role of Director of the Centre for Ministry Education, while Dr Rachelle Gilmour has been appointed as Lecturer in Old Testament. They begin their new roles in February, 2019. Appointment of New Dean of the Trinity College Theological School

48th Barry Marshal Memorial Lecture: Women's Leadership in the Anglican Church of Australia
Trinity alumna Kay Goldsworthy was installed as the 8th Archbishop in Perth in February 2018, becoming the first woman in the world to be given the title of Archbishop within the Anglican communion. Prior to that, in 2017, she became a member of the Order of Australia (AO). On 22 August 2018, she returned to Trinity to deliver an address about women’s leadership in the Anglican church in Australia. Kay prompted the audience to consider how successful leadership by women is measured and the way the theological landscape is changing across the country.
