Trinity choir on the road again … in North America!

By Emily McAuliffe

The Choir of Trinity College is once again spreading its musical wings, kicking off a tour of the USA and Canada next week.

New York City

Trinity’s choir is often touted as one of the best college chapel choirs in the southern hemisphere. Members not only adhere to a rigorous rehearsal schedule and perform regularly in Melbourne and around Australia throughout the year, but also tour internationally to promote Trinity’s musical prowess to the world and to give our choristers valuable performance experience.

This year our choir will be on the road from 29 January to 14 February with 14 performances in cities such as Toronto, Boston and Washington DC. Also during the tour, our Dean of the Theological School, the Revd Canon Dr Bob Derrenbacker, will preach at Grace Cathedral in San Francisco as part of Evensong, and we’ll be holding alumni gatherings in New York City and San Francisco.

See the full touring schedule on our website and follow us on Facebook for regular updates.

You can also read more about our choir and their 2018 tour to Europe in the 2018 edition of Trinity Today.

Did you know our choir also sings Choral Evensong every Thursday and Sunday in the Trinity College Chapel during the university semester? Everyone is welcome to attend, including those of all faiths and none. Click here for more details.
