Congratulations Revd Professor Dorothy Lee

The Dean of Trinity College Theological School has been elected Canon of St Paul's Cathedral Melbourne.

Revd Prof Dorothy Lee joined the Revd Richard Trist, Dean of Anglican Studies at Ridley Melbourne, who was also appointed as Canon at the second session of the 51st Synod of the Diocese of Melbourne.

The two new Canons will join the Cathedral Chapter later this year, and be installed as Canons in St Paul’s Cathedral in due course.

The Revd Professor Dorothy Lee said: ‘I look forward immensely to working with the Dean and Chapter to continue making the Cathedral a home for all Anglicans in the Diocese of Melbourne’.

Professor Lee will be occupying the Chapter Stall of St Aidan, apostle of Northumbria, vacated by the Revd Professor Andrew McGowan, former Warden of Trinity College.

Congratulating the two newly-elected members of Cathedral Chapter, the Dean, the Very Revd Dr Andreas Loewe, said: ‘I am delighted that two outstanding theological educators will be joining the Chapter of St Paul's Cathedral.

‘I look forward to their joining the Governing Body of the Cathedral and to their contributions to our ministry and mission at the heart of the city and Diocese of Melbourne.’
