Trinity College grounds on a beautiful sunny day

You are invited to attend the seminar ‘Today’s Music for Today’s Church’ at Trinity College Theological School.

Hymns, songs, hymnbooks, screens, online music – much has happened in the world of church music over the past 20 to 30 years. So how do we navigate through the possibilities and find the best for our worshipping communities?

This day program is designed for those who sing, play, plan or lead music within the church to help you do just that. We will look at new repertoire, where to find it, how to introduce it, and how to obtain it legally. We’ll also go over how you can evaluate new repertoire, share it with colleagues, and think about your worship music for Lent and Easter.

The seminar will include the launch at 2pm of Songs of Grace, a supplement to Together in Song, by D’Arcy Wood, as part of a short act of worship in the Chapel of Trinity College.

Led by Fay Magee, a musician, educator and theological student who has been teaching, leading and accompanying congregational singing from a young age; and Philip Nichols, Director of Music at St Paul’s Cathedral.
