Barry Marshall Lecture, 2018

Join us for the 48th Annual Barry Marshall Lecture presented by the Most Revd Kay Goldsworthy AO, Archbishop of Perth.

Archbishop Goldsworthy trained for ministry at Trinity College Melbourne and was ordained a priest in 1992, one of the first women to be ordained as priests in Australia.  She has since held various positions of leadership in the Church.  She was the first woman to be consecrated a bishop in the Anglican Church of Australia, and in February she was installed as the Archbishop of Perth, the first female archbishop in the Anglican Church of Australia.

Her lecture, 'Women's Leadership in the Anglican Church of Australia', will include consideration of the impact of same-sex marriage being legalised in Australia, the global #metoo movement, and explore the implications and challenges such large-scale social change can present within the Anglican Church.
