Imagining the Future
Imagining the Future is a unit designed expressly for the Young Leaders Summer School, Summer School students will learn the same techniques used by established leaders of business, military and government to deal with an uncertain future.
Students come together from the different Elective Worlds and take on the roles of the leaders of society, examining possible future issues envisaged by contemporary scientists and social scientists and broadening their understanding of what diverse futures might entail.
Within the multidisciplinary and multicultural environment, students can consider new aspects of a problem, generate fresh ideas, and see that there are many different ways to approach a problem. In envisaging possible future issues and problems, students also explore a vision of what their own future might be.
In the culminating phase of the Young Leader Summer School participants present their diverse strategies and solutions to real-life leaders of commerce, government or academia, who are invited by Trinity College to act as judges for the presentations.
