How do I become a donor?
You can give to the College in many different ways:
- by making a bequest in your will to Trinity College
- through a gift to the Annual Giving Program
- through a gift or pledge to a specified area, such as the Building,
Heritage or Endowment Funds, to the Theological School, or to the Choir.
Donations can be made by cheque or any of the major
credit cards. Donations may also be made in cash or via EFTPOS at the
College.
Donations can be made anonymously if you do not want your name published.
How will my gift be acknowledged?
Trinity College is grateful for all gifts made. There are various ways in which a gift may be acknowledged, but all will be
receipted for tax purposes, and unless anonymity is requested, all donors' names will be published in
Trinity publications.
Gifts of all sizes are greatly appreciated, and help
endow scholarships, build or renovate buildings, and help maintain
Trinity College as a world class institution.
Benefactors of the College who give more that $1,000 in one year are eligible for membership of The Warden's Circle.
Will my gift be tax deductible?
Donations to the
Trinity College Foundation for the advancement of education are tax-deductible
for income tax purposes under subdivision 30A of the Income Tax Assessment Act
1997 (Australia)
Calculating the tax effectiveness of your Gift
A scholarship
can be endowed over a number of years to make it more tax effective for the donor.
Donating in the United States of America
Trinity College has recently established a 501(c)(3) American Charity whereby gifts to the Foundation are tax-deductible in the USA.
Will even a small gift be welcome?
Trinity College is grateful for gifts of all sizes received by the College. Gifts given to Trinity assist students in
need to study, help build new and restore old buildings, and endow teaching
positions.
