Scholarships
Today there are countless young people with limitless capabilities, who cannot afford the transforming experience that Trinity provides. For these young people, scholarships provide an opportunity for a fair go.
Our long term goal is one day to be ‘needs blind’ and have a scholarship endowment large enough to ensure that Trinity is always able to accept the very best students who will benefit from the Trinity experience regardless of their social or financial resources.
Scholarships enhance the diversity of our student body, a diversity which enriches all our students, and is essential for the intellectual and cultural strength of the College community.
In order to meet our goal of becoming a needs blind entry College, Trinity must build its existing endowment by a further $10 million. Opportunities will exist to endow individual scholarships or to support the student endowment fund which will provide ongoing financial support for students in need, at the discretion of the College.
- Gifts of $500,000* will establish a named scholarship which will provide a full scholarship to Trinity's Residential College each year.
- Gifts of $100,000* - $250,000* will establish a named scholarship which will provide$4,000 - $10,000 to be applied to Trinity's Residential College fees per annum.
- Gifts ranging from $20,000*-$100,000* can be applied toward existing endowments.
Options for establishing an endowed scholarship include designating it as unrestricted, need-based, merit-based, or for a specific academic program, including the Theological School.
*Amounts listed refer to establishing scholarships for the Residential College as at 2009-2010. Trinity is also seeking to fund endowed scholarships for the Theological School and for both the International and Summer Schools Programs.
Our Advancement Office will be happy to assist you in making a gift to Trinity College.
