Strategic Academic Alliances
Trinity’s reputation as a centre of excellence places it in a strategic position to work in close co-operation with the University of Melbourne to enhance the University’s academic program, which is in line with its own 2011 Strategy.
Following the groundbreaking example of the Gourlay Visiting Professorship of Ethics in Business, the College will work with the University to create new Chairs, funded through the College and providing enormous benefits to the intellectual and academic life of Trinity.
Our initial goal is to create two endowed Chair positions possibly in the area of Indigenous Art and one in Religious/Christian Studies. Each endowed chair will require a benefaction of $2 million and will offer full naming rights to the benefactor(s).
