Building Plans
Residential Accommodation
Woodheap Building
A new residential building on the Woodheap site (in the corner between Behan and Clarke’s) is now under construction.
The Woodheap building will consist of:
- 22 student rooms with ensuite facilities
- 1 tutor apartment
- 2 apartments for eminent visiting scholars
See related links to tour the floor plans of the new 'Woodheap' Building.
Elimination of 'dogboxes'
The smallest of the College’s
student rooms, affectionately known as dogboxes, offer cramped living and study space.
The
additional accommodation provided by the new Woodheap building will
allow for renovation of the dogboxes in the Cowan building by
converting two tiny rooms
into one.
Renovation of existing heritage buildings
The smallest rooms in other buildings are to be refurbished in a separate project.
Teaching Spaces
The College plans include a new Education Building comprising:
- a 300-seat auditorium or lecture theatre
- music and drama practice rooms
- seminar rooms and theological spaces
