Borrowing from the Library
Who Can Borrow Books?
The Trinity Library is a private library
for the use of currently enrolled
- resident students
- non-resident students participating in the College's Tutorial Program
- Foundation Studies students
- tutors and staff
- students of the Trinity College Theological School
- members of the Anglican Clergy of the Diocese of Melbourne
- users of the Mollison Library
- research workers from outside the College who may use the collection with the permission of the Warden or Leeper Librarian.
How Many Books Can I Borrow?
- Normally a borrower may not have more than 10 books on loan at any one time.
- Books may be borrowed for a maximum of 21 days.
- Some items that are in heavy demand or in
special collections may be on two hour, overnight or 7 day loan.
- Tutors, staff and postgraduate students may request extended loan periods.
- A postal service is provided for online students who cover the cost of return postage.
Overdues, Renewals, Holds
- It is possible to place holds or renew online through "My Account" on the catalogue or via email or telephone if no-one has reserved the item.
- After hours books returns can be placed in the return chute outside the Library door.
- Overdue fines are charged for reserve and high demand materials and other items at the discretion of the Librarian.
- Results may be withheld until all resources are returned and fines paid.
Inter-Library Loans and Document Delivery
Currently enrolled Library users may
request loans and copies of material not held in the Trinity College
Library. This service is charged to the requestor at the standard rate
of $13.20 per item. Please enquire at the library if you wish to make
a request.
We also provide inter-library loan services to
libraries in Australia and overseas at standard rates. All requests for copies of material held at the Trinity College Library
must comply with the Copyright Act of 1968.
