About the Library
The Library of Trinity College, the University of Melbourne, consists of two major libraries: the main Leeper Library covering all fields of knowledge; and the Mollison Library, the Melbourne Anglican Diocesan Library.
The Library is for the use and benefit of
currently-enrolled students, tutors and staff, both resident and non-resident,
and Library members. We link our users
to information in an
accompanied way, enabling them to excel in their learning and research.
The present Leeper Library continues a library tradition dating from the earliest days of the College. The College Library contains some 66,000 volumes comprising a specialised working collection in the main fields of undergraduate study. It also contains specialist research collections in Theology and Australiana.
Trinity College offers its library services as a valuable resource to the College community. The collections are designed as source material for the tutorial system and Foundation Studies.
Research workers from outside the College may use the
collections with the permission of the Warden or the Leeper Librarian. As
Trinity was founded as an Anglican college, the theological collection has an
Anglican character. The collection is expanding to reflect the College’s
commitment to inter-faith dialogue.
