About the author
Professor Donald Markwell is Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Education) at The University of Western Australia. In this important book, he draws on many years experience in higher education including as Fellow and Tutor in Politics at Merton College, Oxford, and as Warden of Trinity College in the University of Melbourne (1997-2007). He was Rhodes scholar for Queensland for 1981.
Amongst other writings Donald Markwell is the author, most recently, of John Maynard Keynes and International Relations: Economic Paths to War and Peace, Oxford University Press, Oxford & New York, 2006.
