Chief of Staff wins research award

Chief of Staff at Trinity College, Dr Brenda Holt, this evening received the 2008 Student Research Publication Award of the Melbourne Graduate School of Education, at the University of Melbourne.
This is awarded to the research student judged to have produced the most significant research publication in 2008.
Dr Holt, who completed her doctorate during 2008, was recognised for her book chapter ‘Researching beyond words: exploring identity through photographs with metropolitan university students from rural areas', In Moss J (ed), Researching Education: Visually-Digitally-Spatially. Rotterdam, Netherlands: Sense Publishers, pp. 127-146’. Her award citation stated that ‘This chapter provides an innovative and sophisticated contribution to methodological and conceptual debates about visual methods and researching identity, and it provides a rich sense of the qualitative research undertaken and the type of insights it generated.’
Dr Holt received the Award at the School’s 2009 Awards Evening on 23 June.
