Changes in Development at Trinity College
Friday 9 March 2007
The Warden today announced impending changes to the Trinity College
Development Office that involve new faces and new roles, and the
departure of a very valued colleague.
Ms Clare Pullar
Clare Pullar, who has been Director of Development and Executive Officer of the Foundation since 1997, has resigned to take up the position of Director of Advancement at the Melbourne Business School.
‘Naturally we receive Clare’s news with mixed feelings,’ Dr McGowan said.
‘This is an important new opportunity for her after long service at Trinity and we hope her role with an important partner institution within the wider University of Melbourne will be a means for further collaboration. Trinity College and MBS are of course partners in the Gourlay Visiting Professorship of Ethics in Business, an outstanding philanthropic initiative.’
The Warden said Clare will finish at Trinity in late April, and there will be opportunities to farewell her in the meantime.
‘For now, let me simply acknowledge our great debt of gratitude for her leadership of Trinity’s highly successful ventures in educational philanthropy, and extend our very best wishes for exciting new opportunities at MBS.’
He also announced two new senior appointments in the Development Office:
Dana Zarzycki commences in the role of Associate Director of Development, from 13 March. Dana is a graduate of Michigan State University (where she was a member of James Madison College) and has undertaken a number of roles in fundraising, events management and related areas in the USA, most recently with the American Heart Association.
Kay Attali, who is already familiar to many in the Trinity Community, has been appointed Development Associate - Major Projects. Kay has great experience in fundraising, as well as a background in journalism, and will continue to work with a particular focus on Trinity’s emerging and continuing Indigenous Programs, and more generally in relation to Foundations, grants and similar projects.
‘I am particularly happy to have both these valued colleagues, one new and one continuing, in place as we consider the appointment of a new Director,’ the Warden said.
‘I am very confident that they, with other members of their staff and the Trinity College community more broadly, will help us build further on the wonderful achievements that have been made here in educational philanthropy.’
