Academic Program

Trinity's Residential College is a friendly, supportive, and stimulating community, where 300 undergraduate and postgraduate University of Melbourne students live, study and grow.

Generally speaking, the Trinity College population models that of the University of Melbourne with approximately 25% local metropolitan students, 25% interstate, 25% international and 25% from regional Victoria.

Resident students of Trinity College receive strong academic and personal support through small group tutorials, individual mentoring and extensive pastoral care. Living on campus provides obvious benefits, with key University venues and services readily available to students and only a short walk from Trinity.

Students have access to more than 60 resident and non-resident tutors, appointed from the most capable senior students, graduates and staff of the University of Melbourne. Tutors work with individual students and small classes to assist them in exploring their capabilities and developing their specialist knowledge and research skills.

Resident students are also afforded a wide range of extracurricular activities designed to further enhance their University experience. Student-run clubs and societies, programs by visiting scholars of international repute, and opportunities to pursue music, art, drama, sport and community outreach, are just a selection of the enriching services available to students at Trinity.
