Accommodation Planning
Satisfactory accommodation is very important for a successful year and students should take care to find accommodation that best suits their needs. While it is the responsibility of students to find accommodation, Trinity College Foundation Studies can provide assistance.

Accommodation Choices
Melbourne is a marvellous city offering a broad range of accommodation choices.
Some students may choose to live in a homestay with a family, others may stay with relatives in Melbourne. Many choose to rent a private apartment, furnished student apartment, a house with other students, or stay in a hostel. The different accommodation types vary considerably in style, standard and cost.
Students under the age of 18
We have approved and listed accommodation which we believe provides a higher level of supervision and care for students under 18 years of age by including onsite management and monitoring by way of day to day personal contact. Please see the list on the Request for Accommodation - Form 2.
The four main accommodation choices are:
- Homestay
- Private Apartments - * not usually for students under the age of 18, however, please see notes regarding Under 18 Private Accommodation Approval.
- Student Apartments - Furnished
- Student Hostels - Furnished
Residence at Trinity College
For students who stay on after Foundation
Studies to undertake degree courses at the University of Melbourne, the Residential College - is worth considering as an
attractive place to live and study.
