Physics
Dr Frederick
Robilliard, BSc(Hons), MSc La Trobe, PhD Monash
Lecturer in Charge
Fred started lecturing, on a
sessional basis, at Trinity, with the first Foundation Studies intake.
At that time he held a lecturing
position in Physics at Monash University,
where he taught various courses in Physics, Applied Physics, Astronomy and
Astrophysics. Fred graduated with a BSc(Hons) from La Trobe
university. His MSc by research involved the development of interferometric instrumentation for studies of the Earth's upper atmosphere. He completed PhD research studeus in the Department of Physics at Monash University. This work involved the development of novel infrared and ultraviolet laser systems, and their time-resolved characterization.
Mr Geoff Adam, BSc(Hons) JCUNQ
Ms Farah
Ajoudani, Honours of Science(Physics) Mashad Iran, MSc Melb
Farah
has been teaching Physics at Trinity College since 2000, the same year
that she completed her Master's by research degree in optics at The
University of Melbourne. She received an Honours degree in Iran and had
18 years' experience working in different physics labs (mechanics,
electromagnetism, electricity, optics and thermodynamics) at different
universities in Iran before coming to Australia. Farah also has three years'
experience at part one physics labs (optics, electronics, radiation and
waves) at The University of Melbourne.
Dr Fun Lai, BSc,
MSc RMIT, PhD Melb
Dr
Fun Lai has been with TCFS since 2001. She started teaching at Trinity
after a postdoctoral research stint at the University of Medicine and
Dentistry, New Jersey (USA), studying the cell structures of proteins.
She completed her PhD studies by research at the School of Physics,
University of Melbourne. Her PhD research topic was on microstructural
studies of carbon material using methods such as TEM and Raman. During
her time at the School of Physics, she had also taught in the first
year and third year labs. Currently, she is involved in the expansion
of the physics practicals to include more electronic-based experiments
involving computers and computer-based experiments and simulations.
