Lecturer in Charge
Dr. Richards came
to Trinity College in February 1998. He was appointed as the
first Lecturer in Charge of Economics and established the current syllabus in
the subject in consultation with Professor Ian Mcdonald of the Department of
Economics in the University of Melbourne. Dr. Richards took
his Doctorate from the London School of Economics (University of Melbourne) before being appointed Lecturer, and
subsequently Senior Lecturer, in Economics at Monash University. While at Monash,
Dr. Richards was Chief Examiner of Higher School Certificate (HSC) Economics
for 10 years from 1982. Dr Richards has
published the results of his research in applied economics of the Australian
economy both in Australia and overseas and has been a consultant in
both business and politics.

Vandana Wadhwa joined Trinity College in October 2000. Prior to coming to Trinity she was lecturing in the Business Economics department of Assumption University, Bangkok, Thailand. She has a Masters in Economics from the Delhi School of Economics and an MEd in Educational Leadership and Management of Melbourne University. She also holds a DipEd(Sec) from Monash. Her major areas of academic interest are Economics and Maths. She is a member of the VCTA (Victorian Commercial Teachers Association).
