Chaplaincy
Chaplaincy at Trinity is a vital part of the College’s commitment to the holistic care of all its members, across its various parts.
Pastoral care of students, staff, alumni, and visitors alike is the primary focus of chaplaincy, and the Chaplains are available for confidential counsel with regard to any matter, irrespective of religious belief or tradition. Like other staff members involved in student welfare they have an open door and seek to be present to the life of the community, getting to know students and staff, and responding to needs of individuals and groups as they arise - including by being on call in an emergency, and referral.
The rich Anglican heritage of Trinity College finds a lively, inclusive, and contemporary expression in the Chapel. The three full-time Chaplains, all of whom are Anglican clergy, share responsibility for its many daily, Sunday and special services, involving many members of the College in the planning and leading of worship. They also conduct the pastoral offices of weddings and funerals, prepare candidates for baptism and confirmation each year, and offer spiritual guidance where it is sought.
The chaplains will welcome a visit, or any inquiry you may have.
