Chapel Services and Other Worship
Services in the Trinity College Chapel are open to all. We hope you can join us.
Weekly Services
Choral Evensong: Every Sunday (except during January) at 6.00pm
Evensong is a traditional service of thanksgiving and reflection at the end of the day. Replacing the ancient offices of Vespers and Compline, Evensong is is a service full of superb music. During term, this is sung by the Choir of Trinity College, and at other times by the Choir of the Canterbury Fellowship. Scholars, clergy and lecturers visiting the College, along with the College Chaplains, are regular preachers at this service.
College Eucharist: Wednesday evenings during University term at 5.15pm
The College Eucharist is a service which students, tutors and other staff members, and visitors enjoy attending during term. The Eucharist is celebrated in a variety of styles, from more informal Taizé services to full Choral Eucharists. All members of the College and the general public are most welcome to attend.

Canterbury Fellowship Services held in the Chapel
Trinity College and Janet Clarke Hall are delighted to share their Chapel with the Canterbury
Fellowship, an independent Anglican congregation founded in 1937. The
Fellowship has worshipped regularly in the College Chapel since the closure of
its city church, St
John's,
La Trobe St, in 1956. Morning Eucharist is celebrated at 10.00am every Sunday, and Evensong is sung at 6.00pm during university breaks, when
the College Choir is in recess. Note that there are no evening services during January.
The Chaplain to the Fellowship is the Revd Albert McPherson.
‘The Space’ — A Multi-faith Facility
'The Space' at 715 Swanston St is a room set aside for students
and staff of all faiths or none who wish to take 'time out' to pray, or to pause for quiet
reflection. Prayer mats, slippers and ablutions requirements are provided, as is a
book, 'Let us Pray', in which all are encouraged to record their
prayers. The room is quiet and comfortable, and the perfect place to
come aside and rest a while. Faith groups meet regularly in 'The
Space' by arrangement with the Foundation Studies Chaplain.
