Applying for Undergraduate Residence at Trinity
Applying for a residential place at Trinity College is an easy, three-stage process.
Application Form
- Complete the on-line College Residency Application Form.
Note that this form is used for application to ALL colleges at the University of Melbourne. This form can be submitted at any time, but is usually sent to Trinity College before the end of November for entry the following year.
After completing the on-line application you will be asked to print and sign a transcript of your submission. You must then post this transcript with the application fee of $35 and two passport-sized photographs of yourself to the College of your first preference.
Your application will not be complete until these have been received.
Written Statements
After your application form has been received, the College will contact you requesting:
- a hand-written statement of about 300 to 500 words about yourself, indicating your interests, ambitions and reasons for applying to Trinity College.
- one academic and one personal referee to complete a written reference and return this directly to the College.
Interview
- Attend a short interview with a member of the residential College staff.
The interview can be arranged for any convenient time, but is normally undertaken between September and December. For applicants who live interstate or overseas and are unable to attend an interview in Melbourne, a telephone interview can be arranged.
ENTER Score
It is your responsibility to advise the College of your ENTER score, as soon as this is known.
