Anniversary Year Gifts
The John Ross-Perrier Bursary
The
John Ross-Perrier Bursary Fund is an Endowment Fund in the Trinity College
Foundation. The establishment of this fund ensures the bursary has the power to help students for
generations to come and that John will always be remembered within the College.
The
Bursary was launched over the 1955 Homecoming weekend in June 2005. The weekend included a luncheon and a flute and piano recital by John Wion (a
contemporary of John Ross-Perrier) and Steven McIntyre.
John’s
Trinity contemporaries of the ‘Year of 1955’ resolved to establish a memorial
bursary to celebrate and honour their friend’s remarkable qualities and life.
They have been encouraged and supported in this by John’s family, his friends
and colleagues.
The
annual income from the John Ross-Perrier Bursary Fund will be made available to
support students at Trinity College who experience unexpected financial
difficulty.
