Assessment

Entry Requirements

All applications are assessed by Trinity College Admissions.

For more information about TCFS entry requirements, click below.

Entry Requirements

We consider program entry on a case-by-case basis for students who come from a country not listed in the table shown via the above link.

Please note:

  • Trinity College bases assessment on relevant academic subjects.
  • The TCFS program is not suitable for students who completed their final year of high school more than one year ago.

Music applications

Applications for music will initially be assessed by our Admissions team. If a student receives a conditional Letter of Offer from Trinity College, they will need to follow the instructions for an audition at the University of Melbourne. Once the audition request is submitted, Trinity College Admissions need to be notified so we can follow up with the relevant faculty regarding the audition assessment.

Issuing Offers

Incomplete application forms will not be processed until all required documents are submitted. All documents must be certified.

Trinity College will assess applications and undertake final checks before an outcome letter (conditional offer, unconditional offer or unsuccessful notification) is emailed to the representative.

Trinity College may issue a conditional Letter of Offer based on first semester, forecast, mock or preliminary results.

If an offer does not have any conditions, the student can accept at any time (however, please ensure there is enough time to arrange accommodation and a student visa).

If the offer is conditional, the student will need to satisfy the conditions stated in the offer before they accept. However, in some cases there is an Early Acceptance Agreement. The Early Acceptance Agreement will be announced by the relevant regional manager each year.

An Early Acceptance Agreement only applies to final school results. Students that need to meet English requirements or a music audition cannot accept under the Early Acceptance Agreement.

Processing Times

We endeavour to process applications within 5 business days, however, in high peak times, there may be a delay. Application processing times also depend on the completeness of the application.

Deferral and Change of Intake

Students can defer to the next intake available provided they meet the requirements of the specific intake and depending on when they completed their previous studies.

Acceptance Documents

To avoid delays, all acceptance, payment documents and Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE) enquiries should be emailed to registrations@trinity.unimelb.edu.au
