For International Students studying at the University of Melbourne
What the Program Offers
General support and monitoring through
- Regular monthly one-to-one meetings with a mentor from among the Trinity College staff with at least one contact by email or phone between each of these meetings. For students who have studied in the Trinity College Foundation Studies Program, this mentor will often be the same person who has acted as their mentor previously.
- Ongoing assistance available for all matters relating to daily living or difficult or crisis situations through the Under 18 Supervision Program Coordinator located in the TCFS Student Welfare Office.This office is open from 8.30 to 5.30 Monday to Friday.
- Access to the TCFS Emergency Helpline when the TCFS Student Welfare Office is closed.
- Weekly coffee/tea sessions where students can meet with other students under 18 studying at the university and college staff to discuss general problems and issues than may have arisen and network with other students.
- Access to the supervision and special programs arranged with the Approved Accommodation Providers for students under 18 studying at Trinity College. Private accommodation arrangements will also be approved where the student is living with someone 21 years or older and these arrangements have been deemed appropriate by the TCFS Director of Student Welfare.
Academic support through
- Small College tutorials with class sizes of no more than 12 students
- Academic monitoring by mentors
- Use of the College library
