Objectives
- To
provide for the students the background knowledge necessary for them to
study Mathematics at the university, both as a subject in its own right
as in a Science degree or as a component of a degree in Engineering or
Actuarial Studies
- To ensure the students have the language
skills and the skills in asking mathematical questions necessary for
them to undertake further studies in Mathematics in English.
- To allow students to experience the joy of doing Mathematics well.
