What is the Core Curriculum?
The Core Curriculum is a unique feature of Trinity College Foundation Studies. It consists of English (which includes Literature, Drama and English for Academic Purposes) and History of Ideas. All students study these core subjects in addition to their elective subjects.
Why a Core Curriculum?
The Core Curriculum develops students’

It is specifically designed to prepare students for the society, language, and education system which they will find in Australia, equipping them to respond effectively to new challenges.
How does the Core Curriculum prepare students for university?
Each of the four courses is carefully designed to develop particular areas of competence essential to university study in Australia. The Core Curriculum also assists learning in elective subjects where students are required to apply these skills.

Students are also prepared for the world of the future, in which creativity, communication skills, and openness to new ideas and knowledge will be vital to success.
