Neralie Hoadley has been teaching in TCFS since early 1995. During her
time at Trinity, she has worked on extended programs, support classes, July,
February and Fast Track programs, teaching both English for Academic
Purposes and Literature. She came to Trinity with a background of teaching
adult migrant and overseas students at RMIT, Victoria University and the
Council of Adult Education. Her academic qualifications were gained at the
University of Melbourne, where she studied History and Philosophy
initially, followed by Education and Applied Linguistics. She has
recently completed an Asialink Leadership course.
Ms Dale Shapter

Lecturer in
Charge - February Program
Dale Shapter Lau started teaching in TCFS in 1993 and
has been Lecturer in Charge of the EAP February intake since 2003. After completing
a BA and DipEd at Monash University,
she taught French, German and Indonesian to high school students. She travelled
and worked in South East Asia, England and Europe before
she completed an RSA Certificate of TESL at International House, London
and taught there. She returned to Melbourne
to spend many happy, fulfilling years as a teacher and administrator of English
courses to adult migrants and completed a Masters in Applied Linguistics at Melbourne
University.
Ms Susan Bendall, BA(Hons), DipEdLa Trobe
Ms Sara Cameron,

Sara has been at Trinity since 1996.
She taught previously in
NZ in Christchurch, Auckland and Wellington in primary, secondary
and tertiary institutions, then in Japan at Japan International High
School and for NYK Shipping Line. In 1993 she was seconded from RMIT to
work for IDP in Cambodia where she trained teachers at the University
of Phnom Penh. In Australia she has worked at Hawthorne Institute and
for seven years at RMIT/CELL in ESL and ESP. At Trinity she has worked
in Literature Support and was previously the coordinator for
Staff Professional Development.
Her studies have been quite diverse in the fields of Education,
Applied Linguistics, and Business majoring in Human Resource
management. These were undertaken at universities in both New Zealand
and Australia.

Ms Pam Cook,

Pam started at Trinity College in 2000 as a member of the Australian International Health Institute (AIHI) Project. She then joined the February Main program in 2001. In October 2005 she moved to the first October Fast Track program. Prior to coming to Trinity, Pam worked in Indonesia as English co-ordinator for a Hotel and Tourism training college, taught with the Adult Migrant Education Service (AMES) for eight years, including one year as Professional Development Co-ordinator, and was a primary teacher for three years. Her interest in the area of teacher training has afforded her opportunities both in Australia and Indonesia to implement training programs and deliver workshops. Pam currently works as a teacher trainer on a casual basis for Value Edge Pty in their ESL Essentials Certificate. She also has a keen interest in curriculum development and has written two course books for ESL, which are still used, for students in Indonesia.

Mary has worked at Trinity College as EAP and ESL teacher since February
2006. Prior to this, she worked as an EAP teacher at CQU in Queensland
for several years, including periods of secondment teaching on EAP
pre-sessional courses at Universities in UK. She has worked as a teacher
of French to primary school pupils in UK and Australia and as an ESL and
EAP teacher in Europe and the Middle East. Her background has also
included several years working as Director of Studies of a Business school
in UK and as Co-ordinator of second language studies for adults in
Queensland.

Marco has taught in the field of humanities since 1984. He has been teaching EAP since 1990. His experience includes living and working in Papua New Guinea as well as Arnhem Land, N.T. and in various tertiary institutions throughout Melbourne. At Trinity College Foundation Studies, Marco has worked with the July intake and is now part of the February team.

Ms Gayle McIntyre, BA Université Laval, MA University of Manitoba, Cert. Ad. Literacy Conestoga College
Gayle has been teaching EAP in Trinity College Foundation Studies since 2006. Prior to this appointment, she taught English, including EAP, ESL and literature in tertiary institutions in Quebec, Canada. She holds degrees from three provinces in Canada including a BA from Canada’s oldest French university. In addition to college teaching, she has experience and qualifications as a literacy educator and has tutored illiterate adults on a volunteer basis. Her interests include curriculum development, Canadian literature and adult literacy.
Ms Priti Mukherjee, BA, DipEd(TESL), BEd(TESOL) LaTrobe, Cert IV AWT Kangan
Priti Mukherjee has been teaching English for Academic Purposes (EAP) at
Trinity College since 1997. She gained a Bachelor of Arts
(Sociology and History), Diploma in Education and Bachelor of Education
majoring in Teaching English as a Second Language from La
Trobe University. After qualifying, she worked in a university in
Malaysia, where she taught EAP and English for Specific Purposes. She
then returned to Melbourne and worked in a number of colleges teaching
both overseas students and recently arrived migrants. Apart from
teaching, she has also undertaken research on Mitigating Behaviour for
the Adult Migrant English Program (AMEP), co-written books on oral
communication and reading skills for Engineering students whilst at the
university in Malaysia, and prepared reading and writing materials for
a polymer company in Melbourne.
Ms Pat Porter,

Pat
Porter has been teaching EAP in the February intake at Trinity since 2002. Her
academic studies started with French and Spanish in the University
of the West Indies, Jamaica. This led her to a BEd with a double
major in Spanish (with Honours) and English Literature, and minors in
Linguistics and French, at Monash University. After a DipEd at La
Trobe University, she started secondary teaching at Killester College.
She moved to teaching adults Spanish with the CAE, and ESL at AMES
and La Trobe University. Pat then studied for her BEd at Deakin and
La Trobe Universities, majoring in ESL, while teaching Academic English
and running the ESL program and the English course development in
Foundation Studies, La Trobe University.

Frank
was born in the US where he attended Bloomsburg University of
Pennsylvania and received a BS in education and an MA in history. He
taught in a Pennsylvania middle school for eleven years before moving
to Germany where he worked for various US universities teaching history
and conducting testing for the US military. After nine years he left to
attend the University of Melbourne where he earned an MA in history. He
then received a CTEFLA at Holmes Colleges in the city and a Graduate
Certificate in TESOL from the University of Wollongong. He has been
teaching at Trinity since 2000 and is currently completing an MEd in
TESOL at the University of Melbourne.
Ms Patrizia Valastro, BA LaTrobe, DipEd ACU, MEd Monash
Patrizia Valastro began teaching EAP at TCFS in 2004. Patrizia specialised in English as a Second Language as part of her Master's in Educational Studies and her thesis was titled 'Designing a Study Skills Program'. She has many years of experience teaching EAP and specialised English programs, including Business English and English for Accounting at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. She is also a co-author of two English for Accounting books. Her areas of interest are designing specialised English programs and she is currently enrolled in the Postgraduate Diploma in Business at The Melbourne Business School.
