Ms Mary Zafirakis, BEc, PostGradDip(Acc) Monash
Subject Leader
Mary Zafirakis has been with Trinity College Foundations Studies since 1997 and assumed the Lecturer in Charge position in Accounting in 2000. She was previously teaching in various universities, predominantly at The University of Melbourne, where she taught in Accounting 1A & 1B and Financial Accounting. Mary has completed an undergraduate degree in economics and a postgraduate degree in accounting with majors in auditing. Her main interest lies in tax and its effect on financial reporting. In addition to her studies in accounting and economics, her other interests are in the fields of physiognomy and archaeology, which she would like to explore further in the future.
Mr Felipe Casasayas, BEd Melb, GradDipCompSci, GradDipAdvCompSci, GradDipAcc La Trobe
Felipe has been with TCFS since April 2000. Prior to this, he taught Accounting and Business Computing at Melbourne University, Accounting at Victoria University of Technology, and Computer Science at La Trobe University. He also has a keen interest in Music and plays several instruments. He is actively involved with the instrumental music club at Trinity.
Mr Ian Beck,
BBus, MBA RMIT, MEdAdmin, DipTertEd UNE, DipEd SCVH, FRMIT
Ian completed
accounting, personnel administration, marketing and management studies
at RMIT then postgraduate studies at the University of Sydney, RMIT and
educational studies at the University of New England and State College of
Victoria. Following many years in commercial and professional
accounting practice, Ian lectured for 17 years at Caulfield Institute of
Technology, later Monash University. he is currently involved as a sessional
lecturer/tutor across all Victorian universities and some TAFE colleges
in accounting, marketing and management. His research interests have
included corporate failures, student discontinuation and management
accounting systems. As a major in the Army Reserve, Ian completed an evaluation of
the financial control systems of the Australian Army.
