Our guest speaker, Lily Yulianti Farid will speak about bridging Indonesia-Australia through writing and translation programs in east Indonesia.

ABOUT LILY YULIANTI FARID:

Lily Yulianti Farid was born and raised in Makassar, Indonesia. She worked as a reporter of Kompas daily from 1996 until 2000. She has completed a PhD in Gender and Media from the University of Melbourne and has worked as a radio program specialist/producer of Radio Japan NHK, Tokyo. Her second short-story collection, Family Room, was translated into English and selected for the Modern Library of Indonesia series. Farid is the founder and director of the Makassar International Writers Festival.
