Trinity offers services and venues for life event ceremonies, including weddings, baptisms and funerals.
The Chapel of Trinity College and Janet Clarke Hall is very popular for such life events. Trinity's Chaplaincy is eager and willing to work with current and former members of the community to ensure their key life events are managed with sensitivity and are memorable.
The Chapel is a very flexible space. It comfortably seats 60 people in six centre-facing pews, an additional 100 people in pews near the west door, and may be configured to seat up to 200 people if required. Wheelchair access is available through the Annexe on the north side of the Chapel.
Funerals (or memorial services) may be held in the Chapel subject to availability. It is not necessary for the person who has died to have links with Trinity College for their funeral to be held here; rather, the priorities of an Anglican funeral are the celebration of the deceased's life, the dignified tending to their mortal remains, and the opportunity for loved ones, friends and colleagues to make their farewells. If you wish to hold a funeral at Trinity, please contact the Chaplaincy Administrator by phone +61 9348 7127 who will make a time for you to meet with a Chaplain to discuss the arrangements.
Trinity's Chapel is a popular place for the weddings of current and past students and staff, and is available for traditional Anglican marriage celebrations. People of other Christian traditions are also encouraged hold their weddings at Trinity, and should contact the Chaplaincy Administrator by phone +61 9348 7127 to discuss their specific requirements and how Trinity might assist them.
